Replacement of Jonathan Creek Culvert

Crandall provided comprehensive engineering and technical services for the sizing and replacement of the existing 220 meter long Jonathan Creek culvert (twin 1.8 m box) that runs across CN’s property in the City of Moncton’s west end. Crandall was responsible to examine and recommend the optimum method of replacement which may include either traditional open cut methods or trenchless technology. The final design of the project detailed a new 4.2m x 4.8m cast in place box culvert, a 600 m mainline track diversion, and multiple infrastructure upgrades including the re-alignment of Assomption Blvd., relocation of an existing 500 mm Hyprescon watermain, relocation of a 900 mm combined sewer and relocation of an existing  1650 mm combined sewer.
